Famine has been officially declared, people in Gaza are being starved to death.
We know this isn’t our usual Harvest appeal but we cannot turn away. Starvation is being used as a weapon and innocent lives are being targeted. This is a man-made famine and it is a moral crisis we cannot ignore.
In Gaza, 432 people have already died of starvation, 146 of them children. Children are dying at twice the rate of adults, their frail bodies unable to survive even a bout of diarrhoea. Mothers weakened by hunger are delivering premature babies and many can no longer produce the milk their newborns desperately need to survive.
Every child deserves to be nourished, not left to die from starvation. Your support can bring hope and life.
During Harvest, we often think of gathering together, giving thanks and sharing abundance, yet this stands in stark contrast to the ongoing suffering endured by innocent men, women and children in Gaza. This Harvest, we are asking our compassionate supporters to unite once more, to help ensure that no one is left to go hungry. Every prayer, every gift, every act of kindness brings hope to those caught in this man-made crisis.
We believe in life before death.
We won’t look away. Will you?
But what about the blockade, will my donation reach those who need it?
Our partners are not distant bystanders - they live this crisis every day alongside the communities they serve. They do far more than deliver aid - they lift voices that must be heard, fight for justice and carry hope into the darkest moments.
Despite the aid blockade that has hindered so many other humanitarian aid agencies, our local partners, deeply rooted in the communities they serve, are still reaching those most in need with food, clean water, medical care, education and safe shelter.
Your solidarity has made this possible. Since October 2023, your generosity has helped deliver emergency aid to more than 800,000 people, provided food to over 1.3 million and supplied clean water and sanitation to more than 950,000.
The needs, heartbreakingly, continue to grow. But we want you to know how powerfully your support is saving lives and to share an opportunity for you to amplify that impact even further through our Harvest Appeal.
Please donate now, ensure lives are saved.
