We're so grateful for your support!
Thank you so much to all our amazing supporters and volunteers all across the island of Ireland for their heroic efforts this Christian Aid Week.
Throughout May you've collected, delivered, baked, walked, worshipped, sponsored, sung and quizzed your way to fundraising success. You've connected, you've celebrated and - very importantly - you've had fun!
We could not be more grateful for your support, and we have been delighted to hear about your events, services and activities from North, South, East and West. We’ve highlighted some stories below from Christian Aid Week 2022 but you can click here to find Christian Aid Ireland’s Facebook page where we proudly share even more stories.
If you have a story to share please do remember to take a photo (as high quality as you can!) and share them with us by emailing belfast@christian-aid.org or dublin@christian-aid.org
Every prayer, every gift, and every voice, helps to turn hunger into hope. Together we create lasting change for communities all over the world, helping them stand strong and look to the future with hope.
Please donate so that together we can stop this climate crisis.
A big cheer for a fab four!
Teenage siblings Chrissie, Jonathan, Benjamin and Katie Marshall helped deliver envelopes across the town this year as part of Ballyclare Presbyterian Church’s annual house-to-house collection in May.
They join a hardy group of volunteers who are adapting their envelope deliveries and collections across Northern Ireland.
Great to have you on the team Marshalls!
Happy customers in Crosshaven
Wonderful work by the home bakers and craft makers of Holy Trinity Church, who raised an incredible €1300 in a coffee morning and sale after their Sunday service on 15 May.
As well as delicious home-made cakes and jam, the growers and crafters among the congregation also sold beautiful flowers and even some hand-knitted tea cosies. Thank you!
Fast in Broughshane
Canon Stuart Lloyd gave up all food for 72 hours to raise funds this Christian Aid Week. He completed his fast while sitting outside one of the shops in his home village of Broughshane, collecting donations and raising awareness of Christian Aid’s work.
His church also held a lunch and together their efforts raised £2300, a fantastic total.
Armagh’s al fresco Big Brekkie
Liz Switzer opened her blooming garden to friends and neighbours in Armagh City to enjoy breakfast together.
Some egg-cellent options were served raising over £350 to go towards their Christian Aid Week efforts. A big thank you to Liz (back row, 4th from right).
