The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it; The world and all who live in it.
As the climate crisis accelerates, its worst effects are being felt far from the headlines.

Mercy and Grace: two families, one crisis
In April 2024, flash floods tore through Donga Village in Kenya. Mercy Njeri, her husband, and four children escaped with their lives but lost everything else, including her livelihood. With support from our partner ADS, she received emergency funds to buy food and restart her children's education.
We carried our families and nothing else.
Grace and her children were also forced to flee their home in Nairobi as floodwaters swept away everything they owned. Already a survivor of domestic abuse, Grace found strength in a community-led programme offering food, counselling and hope.
These are just two of the thousands of lives turned upside down by underreported climate disasters. Your gift today can offer vital relief and restore dignity.
Climate chaos. Global injustice. Local action.
We believe in locally-led responses. That’s why Christian Aid Ireland works through trusted partners who understand the needs of their communities, like training farmers in climate-resilient agriculture or providing direct cash assistance after disasters.
In 2023/24, thanks to people like you, we reached over 4 million people across 29 countries.
But the need is growing. In 2025, more lives will be disrupted. More stories may go untold. And more families will rely on our ability to act fast.
Will you stand with your global neighbours?
We won’t look away. Will you?
